3 – Day to Day 2030
When we
leave the house each day we bring a number of items with us. In the future,
how might they look?
Large: Personal transport vehicle (not a car)
Medium: Stylish Backpack
Small: Smart wearable smart device and
headphones combo
Plus one of your own designs.

For my own design I realised there's always something that's flying or hovering when in the future, which proves to be popular now e.g. the hover board, our own hover board. I was thinking of hovering shoes or trainers, a quick way to get to places and be like a super hero. It can hold a lot of weight and there is no need for something as large as a car. The shoes won't hover so high so theres not a lot of danger and can be entertaining way of getting from one place to another. Plus shoes can be styled to suit everyone. I may take some inspiration from Joe McCarthy who designed a lot of futuristic shoes.
For a stylish backpack, i was thinking of a hard cover on the outside, with a soft cushion on the inside. It'll be water proof and can come in many sizes. With the hard cover it can have a password or thumb identification process that can unlock by the user. It can stop pickpockets and if stolen, the user or police can automatically trace it with its GPS tracker that turns itself on if the password is entered incorrectly 3 times or if the thumb identification is wrong. It will have a sleek look, modern with the soft cushion inside to keep valuables safe. It's handy for laptops and can have different compartments. An updated feature can have a chargeable battery that can charge up phones, iPod, laptops, tablets, etc.
I thought up the smart device design in a problematic way. We have already thought of virtual reality and the occulus rift for gaming. I was thinking we can have a hologram of ourselves, whenever we are too sick for work or to go to classes. This can be used in a wrist gear and ear piece with touch simulation with our minds. If the user is too sick to come in for work, they would wear the wrist gear that scans their whole body and projects that scan in a workplace or class. The user can consciously control their hologram to either sit in lectures, do some work, work in shops, etc. The hologram can communicate with touch senses and speech. The ear piece uses the brain waves of coordination to help move the hologram around the other area. In the other area there would be a projector that brings out the hologram from their wrist gear. Each user can use it up to 10 times. Any more then it has to be re-charged by their work place. This can stop users abusing the product and never go into work.
For transport vehicle I want to design something that is similar to a motorbike with futuristic wheels and an auto feature. I want the bike to be safer and have a protect feature if there is a crash involved. The bike can automatically push itself up if knocked over or if the driver is about to fall off. This can protect the driver numerous ways, especially on a motorway. I want the bike to have the same automatic standing as like those kids toys "Weebles Wobbles" that has little people that cannot fall down. I have a YouTube video of the Weebles here:

I will start a rough sketch of these products ASAP.
